Operations Support – Peter Carew

General Responsibility

To ensure local operational support to Knox Brigades in line with the CFA Act
Delegate to:

Role Description

Group Manager incorporating oversight of the support functions:

  • Manage local support arrangements within Knox Group
  • Develop and maintain policy relating to local operational response e.g. trigger points, step ups.
  • Prepare and maintain the Group Response Plan in consultation with Community Safety Manager
  • Manage the set-up of the LCF on ‘stand-up’ days
  • Coordinate LCF manning in conjunction with the Group Duty Officer on stand up days
  • Ensure capability of GMT to support incidents within Knox Group
  • Coordinate support arrangements for brigade operational support within Knox Group area
  • Develop and maintain support arrangements for “Transfer of Control” and IMT response within Knox Group area
  • Co-opt personnel within Knox brigades to assist with portfolio Strategic Plan Goals
