General Responsibility

To identify risks and mitigation strategies within the Knox brigades areas through representation on relevant committees
Delegate to:
Knox MFMPC
Yarra MFMPC
Maroondah MFMPC
D13 Community Safety Sub-Committee

Role Description

  • Attend Knox MEMPC in conjunction with Group Operations Manager incorporating Knox MFMPC
  • Ensure representation on Yarra Ranges MFMPC
  • Ensure representation on Maroondah MFMPC
  • Ensure representation on District/Region Community Safety Sub committee
  • Champion group/brigade issues at above MFMPC’s
  • Manage Group Community Safety Team
  • To work with District/Region and Brigades on Group support to current community safety campaigns
  • Co-ordinate Knox brigades involvement in community events
  • Assist with press releases for Group involvement or messages
  • Prepare and maintain the Group Response Plan in consultation with Group Operations Support Manager
  • Oversee production and management of GOP’s
  • Co-opt members of Knox Brigades to assist with portfolio
